Tracking project costs
Every item in Focalist can carry price data — unit price, quantity, VAT, and wastage percentage. The project total updates automatically so you always know where the budget stands.

Price and currency
Set the price when clipping or editing an item. Focalist supports multiple currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, PLN, and more). The project total bar shows totals grouped by currency.

Quantity and unit
Set how many you need and what unit — Pieces, m², ft², m, or ft. The total cost for that item is price × quantity.

Wastage percentage
For materials like tiles, fabric, or flooring, add a wastage percentage. This tells you how much extra to order to account for cuts and mistakes. The total adjusts accordingly.

VAT
Add the VAT percentage if you need to track tax separately. Useful for client invoicing where you need to show net vs gross.

Check the project total
The sticky bar at the top of your project shows the total across all items and rooms, including the item count and room count.
You don't need to fill in every cost field on every item. Price alone is enough for a rough budget — add VAT and wastage only where it matters.
