Approval & Ordering Workflows
Let clients approve items and track what's been ordered.
Getting client approval on items
Before ordering, you usually need a thumbs-up from the client. Focalist has built-in approval and ordering status so you can track this without spreadsheets or email threads.

Enable approval in project settings
Open project settings (pencil icon in the project header) and toggle on Enable Approval. Each item now gets thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons.

Approve or reject items
Click thumbs up to approve an item or thumbs down to reject it. This works for both team members and clients viewing via a share link.
Tracking orders

Enable ordering
In project settings, toggle on Enable Ordering. Each item gets a circle checkbox to mark its order status.

Mark items as ordered
Click the circle icon on an item to toggle between "to order" and "ordered". A filled checkmark means it's been ordered.
Combine approval + ordering for a clean workflow: client approves → you mark as ordered → done. No more "did we order that?" conversations.
